Evaluating AWS Alternatives Based On Use Cases
A third way to look at AWS Alternatives is to walk through a use case scenario to better understand how your organization might support workloads. The AWS deployment above supported one customer. The software provider was paying $1,500 per month, per customer, to host their ERP platform. As their customer base grew, they knew that needed to find a more cost-effective way to take advantage of economies of scale to find cost savings and increase their own profitability.
OpenMetal Reduces Individual VPC Costs
Right from the start, OpenMetal Cloud Cores provide a cluster of three bare metal servers with full utilization of allocated resources. This affords more VPCs for the cloud spend. Additionally, the larger the Cloud Core selected, the more VPCs that are available to significantly reduce individual VPC costs (as shown below).
