Ramon Grullon is a seasoned technology expert with over 17 years of experience in the cloud, system engineering, and deep Linux troubleshooting. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to OpenMetal, where he serves as a Senior Technical Account Engineer.

Ramon’s passion for technology was ignited during his childhood, where he watched his stepfather tinker with RC cars and PCs. This early exposure to the world of technology sparked an insatiable curiosity that has fueled his career ever since.

Ramon’s first experience with open source came when he had the opportunity to work for a Linux OS company. Working alongside brilliant engineers, he delved into the philosophy and practice of developing open-source software, gaining valuable insights into this collaborative and innovative approach to technology development.

Before joining OpenMetal, Ramon honed his skills at several renowned tech companies, specializing in OpenStack for the past eight years. His extensive experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud administration, DevOps, and various programming languages.

In addition to his technical expertise, Ramon is an excellent communicator and problem solver. He is able to break down complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms, and he is always willing to go the extra mile to help customers.

First Job: “The New York Public Library as a Computer Page. I got to work with my local community helping teach software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint during workshops we held throughout the week.”

A Goal He Hopes to Achieve: “I want to run the New York Marathon one day. I lived in NYC and saw it every year growing up and have always wanted to experience the other perspective as a runner.”
