Avani Rampersad

Avani has always had a passionate interest in the science of human behavior. From her earliest dreams of being a Forensic Scientist in the footprints Sherlock Holmes, Avani has used all tools available to her (i.e. education, religion, family, work) to develop her understanding of what motivates people and how that motivation shapes decisions.

Avani came to believe that most jobs are merely meant to cover expenses so that people can live the life we want…but should not consume our lives. She lived up to this belief by leaving her first professional job as the head of a high end jewelry manufacturer to become an influencer.

Today, Avani uses her knowledge of human behavior for two very different purposes. The first is to work closely with technology influencers and social conversations to help organizations learn how to overcome their fears of transitioning to an OpenStack platform and get out from under overpriced vendors. The second is to raise her family (and her livestock) on her own private farm…something that has afforded her new skills in multitasking, prioritization, and being nice (even when she wants to scream).

Fortunately for the team at OpenMetal, Avani’s sensitivity to pungent odors made her worry about having to work crime scenes as a Forensic Scientist, and that letter from Hogwarts never arrived to give Avani a chance to pursue her fascination with magic.
