How reliable is the Ashburn facility?
NTT VA1 is a Tier III facility with N+2 distributed power redundancy for each vault, dual-corded power distribution, and diverse A/B feeds to the data hall. On-site generators carry enough fuel for 24 hours at full load, with 24x7x365 refueling contracts to extend that indefinitely during an outage.
Why should I choose v5 over v4?
v5 runs on Intel’s newest Xeon 6 platform with faster DDR5-6400 memory, currently available only at this location. If your workload benefits from the latest CPU generation and memory bandwidth, v5 is the option to look at first.
Where exactly is my data?
In our Ashburn, Virginia facility — the NTT VA1 data center. We don’t replicate or move customer data to other regions unless you build that architecture yourself.
How fast can I deploy?
In-stock bare metal provisions in minutes through self-service. Private clouds deploy in about a day. Out-of-stock configurations typically arrive within a few weeks.
Do I get access to the BIOS or other hardware-level access?
Yes, you get full access to your bare metal. IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) facilitates bare metal as a service with an easy to use remote management system.
Can I run confidential computing workloads in Ashburn?
XL and XXL servers with Intel TDX are available, protecting data in use at the hardware level, including confidential AI inference workloads via TDX combined with Intel AMX acceleration.
