  • New OS: CentOS 9 Stream
    • Updated base and IPA images
  • New OpenStack Release: OpenStack 2023.2 (“Bobcat”)
    • Magnum: Kubernetes v1.26.8 is now supported and includes an updated COE cluster template
    • Kolla-Ansible: CPU and RAM overcommit and reservation options can now be set in Semaphore
    • Per-node memory reservations are now calculated dynamically based on node type and disk count
    • Built-in Let’s Encrypt support — handles automatic certificate updates
    • Mistral service enabled — allows scheduled jobs and tasks (“cloud cron”)
    • Neutron plugins enabled to allow per-VM ingress/egress bandwidth tracking, VLAN trunking, QoS support, and more
  • New Ceph Release: Ceph Reef
    • Move to Cephadm from ceph-ansible
      • Containerized Ceph services for easier management
      • Allows very simple upgrades, customizations, and cluster lifecycle management
